The exquisite rooms are dazzling white, contrasting with the deep blue sea just beyond the windows. Each features private balcony, air conditioning, minibar, LCD TV with satellite channels, hairdryer and telephone. There is a tranquil and fully comprehensive spa on-site, with innumerable treatments available. More active guest will enjoy the two pools, full fitness centre, or perhaps a quick swim from the hotel’s private beach. Reception is available to take care of almost every possible need. Le Meduse and Le Pirate restaurants offer fine Greek cuisine in an elegant atmosphere with views out over the Aegean. Guests can also arrange romantic private dining on the beach or elsewhere. Those who can drag themselves away from the hotel will find Ornos town centre and beach about 800 yards away.
Of course it had to be the views over the water that most impressed guests about Kivitos. They were described as….indescribably lovely, and the sort of views that one sees in tourist brochures, but very rarely in reality.
It was very rare to find a bad word written about the staff. Not only were they described as friendly and welcoming, but also as possessing the obsessive attention to detail that is the mark of a true luxury hotel.
Whether they were referring to the public areas or their rooms, guests really seemed to like the understated and elegant décor of the hotel. Some described it as if they had been transported into a fantasy world, where all the elements just worked perfectly together.
It seems that even luxury hotels struggle to provide reliable Wi-Fi services to their guests. Several complained that the service worked well when it worked, but that it was generally unreliable.
While most seemed happy with the value for money, not all were. As with many luxury hotels, expectations get built up to an exceptionally high level and some end up unhappy, saying that they overpaid for their stay.
