Kirkdale is a non-smoking property which is great for those who don’t imbibe and like their rooms smelling fresh and not like acrid, stale second-hand smoke.

A warm, friendly staff makes you feel right at home. They are happy to accommodate most any request and point you in the direction of local sights, as well as places to dine and drink.

This hotel is centrally located and just a few-minutes’ walk to lots of eclectic shops, restaurants and bars. But at the same time, this property is located on a residential street, so you can enjoy a quiet stay, while still being close to the action.

Kirkdale serves breakfast only and there is not a restaurant on property. Luckily, there are dozens of eateries quite close by including Cote d' Azure, which is a reasonably priced restaurant that features International cuisine.

Although the public spaces are in good shape, the guest rooms here have seen better days. Dingy wall coverings, worn carpets and dated furnishings make for a less-than-pleasing aesthetic.

Some of the guest rooms here are a bit small, especially those on the top floor where the ceilings are low and slanted. If you are travelling with more than one person, are tall, or need extra room to maneuver, be sure to ask for a room on the ground floor, which are a bit bigger.
