Keswick Island Guest House is on Keswick Island, a small piece of paradise located at the southern tip of the Whitsundays, just 32 kilometres north east of Mackay. Keswick is the perfect choice for that quiet holiday, with just 19 permanent residents; you could have the beach all to yourself. Located within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, the waters around Keswick abound with tropical fish & turtles, & humpback whales pass through during August & September. There are 5 beautiful beaches, accessible on foot or a short boat ride away, plus fabulous fringing reef, perfect for snorkeling, or you can dive the wreck of the Cremer or the Singapore, both easily accessible from Keswick. The Guest House has four large guest rooms, all featuring king beds and ensuite bathrooms. The 3 downstairs rooms have access to our 150 square metre deck with breathtaking views over the Coral Sea and neighbouring Whitsunday Islands. Choose a book from the library and relax, or go bushwalking, fishing, or swim in the crystal clear waters of Basil Bay. Your holiday includes 3 delicious meals each day, along with use of kayaks & a golf buggy to explore the island. Enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine from the bar or ask for your favourite cocktail. The Guest House is licensed and there is a selection of beers, wines & spirits to choose from. Access to Keswick is by light aircraft & flying time is just 12 minutes from Mackay. You could be sipping on a cocktail in no time!
