Situated in the very commercial heart of the city of Side, and just 15 minutes' walk from the beach, Kentia Apart Hotel offers guests stylish self catering apartments in a great central location. The apartments have that light and airy feel typical of the seaside, and feature en-suite bathrooms, private balconies, air conditioning, equipped kitchenettes, TV’s in-room safes and hairdryers. Kentia has a fabulous pool terrace, with all the usual sun beds, and poolside café. Those seeking serenity will find a full spa with Turkish bath and extensive treatments available. Paid Wi-Fi is available in the public areas. The Pool View Restaurant offers the very best Turkish cuisine with lovely views over the hotels extensive pool terrace. There is also a lounge bar, which is an ideal spot to socialise over drinks. The fascinating historic centre of Side on the peninsula is about 1.6 miles from Kentia, while Antalya Airport is about 40 miles to the west.
The huge pool terrace was by far what guests most appreciated about Kentia. They described it as the perfect place to relax and catch a few rays of sun. Or perhaps take a quick refreshing dip after a long hot day on the beach.
Again and again guests commented on just how friendly the staff were. But beyond that, they were also described as willing to go the extra mile to try to make sure their guests had everything they needed for their holiday.
While most guests found the food at the hotel to be quite acceptable, many had not opted for full board, and were happy to find that there plenty of great restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Guests did not seem very happy with the Wi-Fi at all. For a start, there was a lot of confusion about whether it was free, or attracted a charge, with the rules unnecessarily complicated. Secondly, once logged out one would need to physically log in again, which guests found most frustrating.
A couple of guests travelling during the busy months report that they had trouble securing a sun bed when required. There did not seem to be enough for the number of hotel guests, and there was also the contentious issue of others “reserving” them with complicated towel placements.
While the beach is described as being about 15 minutes away on foot, this was too far for some who felt that it meant they couldn't just pop there and back when they wanted to.
