Kampung 168 in Jimbaran is an amazing 2-star little Balinese village style resort, grass roofed, with open terrace and in a compound setting just like a village. The rooms all have air-conditioning and are clean with western bathrooms that don't smell unpleasant (an issue in Bali). There is a small gym, a 20m lap pool and 3 other pools to enjoy; you can always find an empty one. The hotel has a cafe serving meals and both soft and alcoholic drinks. This is a Balinese family-run hotel, so it is ideal for budget conscious travellers. There is street food most nights just around the corner and 3 nice restaurants in walking distance, as well as many more further afield. The hotel is high on Jimbaran Hill so no mosquitoes. The location is right near all the best surf beaches; you can swim there too, and because they are surf beaches they are pristine (Kuta beach in Kuta can get dirty in the wet season). So come and stay at Kampung 168 and you will not spend all your holiday money on rooms alone.
