About Kaliwa Lodge
The lodge is situated at a height of 1300m on the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro and it is just a few minutes away from Machame Gate, the entrance to the Kilimanjaro National Park. Kaliwa Lodge has a unique wooden river deck with a stunning view to Mount Kilimanjaro. 10 rooms are waiting for the guests, the restaurant offers an international cousine with local influences and ingredients. The small bustling town of Moshi which is roughly 20km from the lodge, can be reached easily thanks to the good tarmac roads. Please note: Unfortunately we can't accept credit cards. So you will have to pay cash at Kaliwa Lodge in USD, Tanzanian Shilling or Euro. From Machame Junction use Machame Road for 9 km. Then you will see a green sign board with a white "K" on your right hand side. Follow the dirt road for 300 metres to reach the gate of Kaliwa Lodge. Karibuni sana.
