Kackar Pension offers accommodation in Kackar Mountains, a mountain range that runs in the north of Turkey along the eastern Black Sea coast. It creates the eastern part of the North Anatolian Mountains. Many peaks in the eastern part are over 3000 m; the western part reaches up to 2000m altitude. Mount Kackar, the highest point is 3932 meters high. It has been declared a national park in 1994. The large part of the national park lies within the boundaries of Rize and Camlıhemşin County, a small part of it remains between the boundries of Artvin province and Yusufeli County. The name Kackar can be used in different meanings: The entire mountain range from Verçenik until Altıparmak; The Kackar Mountains which form the centre part of this range; The Mount Kackar which is the highest peak of the range. Kackar Mountains: have been turned into a sport center for sports such as mountaineering, rock climbing, trekking, rafting and skiing. The unique nature and cultural structure of the region attract many domestic and foreign tourists. An important part of the mountain is located within the boundaries of the natural park.
