This is a peaceful spot close to town, but not too close. Take your pick for a day's adventure of surfing, renting kayaks, browsing the farmer's market, diving or walking tours. An easy bike ride or about fifteen minutes' stroll reaches most Byron centre attractions - the area cabs are accustomed to short rides as well, so flag one down if you get tired. The highlight of your outing might well be the lighthouse walking trail where you'll see wallabies hopping wild and whales breaching along the coastline. On-site parking is easy and plentiful.

Lovely, boutique, self-catering apartments. Beach-themed with chic decor, comfy beds and spacious bathrooms. The kitchen should have all you need including a modern coffee maker with plenty of coffee pods. Large balconies. Don't forget to visit the downstairs DVD library to stock up on movies for your room on rainy days or if you feel like staying in for an evening.

If you need anything at all, stop by reception. They'll surely go out of their way to ensure your comfort, and are responsive to all requests. They don't mind giving directions or advising on the area, either.

From early morning and throughout the day, you'll hear a bit of noise from traffic on the front-facing road. If you're a daytime sleeper, bring your earplugs.

There isn't much of a view from any direction you can face here, but the good news is: you're right across the street from the beach. If you need scenery, take a walk.
