Recent upgrades have made the building soundproof, so noise from the downtown area does not disrupt guest’s stay. Free parking is available, and the host is happy to arrange tours or answer questions about the area. Just a short walk from Jarvis House, is a modern bistro-style restaurant called Blake House, as is Keg Mansion, which is well known for its seafood and steak selections. University of Toronto St. George Campus, Toronto Eaton Centre, and the Ed Mirvish Theatre are all less than 1.5kms away. The Hockey Hall of Fame, Air Canada Centre, CN Tower, and Rogers Centre (SkyDome) are all within 4km from the property.
According to guests, there are many attractions like historic homes, restaurants, and shops that you can easily walk to from this B&B. It is also easy to take a short drive to more attractions around the area if you have a car, especially since the hotel has a parking area. So, it is an excellent base of operations for sightseeing.

This B&B has several floors, and there is no lift. Also, since the parking is in the back, you will have to haul your luggage around the entire building, inside, and up the stairs to your room. Several guests were upset that staff members did not help them with luggage and the stairs were quite steep.
Many guests have commented that the air conditioning at this hotel can't be controlled in the individual rooms and doesn't seem strong enough to cool the rooms down adequately.
