Hotel Jaccarino (Massa Lubrense, Italy)

The very essence of Jaccarino seems to be the views it affords over the Bay of Naples. Guests book here because of these, and going by their comments they are definitely not disappointed.

While the hotel's own restaurant did not generally get very good reviews, many guests say that the village is nearby, and that it had a number of excellent dining options. They never felt they had to drive all the way into Sorrento to eat well.

Guests mention that the hotel offers several free shuttle trips to Sorrento a day. Even those who had their own car found these very convenient, since they could get were they needed to be with a minimum of fuss.

Of course one of the prices to pay in older buildings with great views is that they are very quirky, and don't have lifts. Guests report that there are steps to negotiate all over the place, even in locations they may not be expected. Guests who have serious mobility issues will likely not be happy here.

Though the distance by road to Sorrento is not all that far, guests describe the drive as a bit hair raising, with all the twists and turns, and also as exceptionally busy at times, resulting in long delays to actually arrive on the coast.

While not mentioned by many, some did say that the room décor was a bit out of date. It was not that they thought the rooms were in a poor state of repair, but rather that the décor was old fashioned. They would have been happier with a more modern and hip style
