The 2 star Hostal Italia is family run and in the heart of Fuengirola on Spain’s Costa del Sol. The Italia has 40 en-suite rooms with colour television, telephone air conditioning/ heating, free Wi-Fi and safe deposit box.  Many rooms also have a private terrace. This hostal also has private underground parking available; plus there is a lift, luggage storage, roof terrace with seating and tables and the front desk is manned at all times. Apart from the licensed bar and breakfast facility, there is no catering here.  The hostal, though, is on the corner of El Hambre, home to numerous shops, restaurants and cafes.  The popular Salamanca Restaurant is directly opposite! Just fifty metres from the resort’s beach, it is aso a mere 10 metre stroll to Church Square.  Marbella and Malaga are easily accessed by bus or train.

The location is second to none; service is great and to cap it all, the place is spotlessly clean. What a find!

Very friendly hostal.

This family run hostal is extremely friendly and well run. It may be a bit short on some of the usual facilities but who cares when they are there, in abundance, virtually on the doorstep!

High up the ‘scale’ for bars and eateries.

It’s really close to Fish Alley (* Calle Moncayo). Never heard of it? You will soon! It runs parallel to the promenade and you’ll find more bars and restaurants in this strip than you can cope with during your stay. You’ll just have to return again to sample the rest!

It’s not the best signal and it's somewhat unreliable as well.

Streets are very narrow and access to the car park is difficult to navigate.

No big deal really as the immediate area is swarming with places to eat and drink. No restaurant here though.
