The restaurant “Il Rustico”, located in the historical area of Grammichele, only a few meters far from the famous hexagonal square, finds itself on the ground floor of an ancient building of the end of the nineteenth century. Its location is ideal for those who would like to visit the square, the museum, the archaeological park or the nearby town of Caltagirone, seeking a quiet resting spot and an authentic home-cooked cuisine. The restaurant, warm and hospitable has 60 seats distributed in two rooms, air-conditioned environment, bars and services, background music. During the summer our guests have the opportunity to enjoy a restful time in our outdoor area. Furthermore, “Il Rustico” has also five comfortable rooms with bathroom , air conditioning, minibar, LCD TV, internet WI-FI and the finest courtesy service provided to the customer. The wide menu ranges from the simplest to the most sophisticated dish to suit every taste and for every occasion such as banquets, christenings, first communions or just a dinner with friends to enjoy unique flavors to rediscover the genuine taste. Among the various specialties stand out the puff pastry of mozzarella, pennette with rustic sauce, the stuffed rabbit and the famous sausage from Grammichele. Our gentle hosts can also enjoy typical dishes of the local tradition as the “timballo Occhiolà” (handed down from an ancient recipe), fresh pasta with herbs, or the tasty pork jelly, all accompanied by the most prestigious and famous Sicilian wines. For the evening, the restaurant still offers classic recipes of national and international cuisine with modern touch, such as homemade pizza, piadina filled in various ways, and the soft crepes. Finally, on request we organize lunches or dinners based exclusively on fresh fish. The quality and authenticity of the dishes are guaranteed by the choice of the best organic and local products, many of which are produced or grown organically from the operator.
