Reviewers expressed overwhelmingly positive opinions about this hotel's privileged position inside the city centre's delightful walled old town. Located just steps from the ramparts and inner harbour, it provided a good base for exploring the surrounding museums, beaches and attractions on foot. Furthermore, there were shops and amenities nearby as well as dining options to enjoy within easy walking distance. The easy access to Saint-Malo ferry terminal and the railway station for regional, national and international connections was another bonus.

Guests spoke highly of the customer service, paying tribute to the professional, friendly and cheerful personnel who had good local knowledge and often spoke English. There was also praise for little touches like the free hot drinks at reception.

The tastefully-decorated, comfortable and tidy rooms appealed to many travellers, who also said cleaning standards were good. There was further praise for the cosy beds and pleasant harbour views enjoyed from selected rooms.
