The resort is beautiful with great facilities. Rooms are clean and modern and the buffet is above average. You can easily stay at the resort without venturing outside. There are several restaurants with a choice of food from Mexican and Japanese to Italian and French.
The facility is somewhat sophisticated and elegant but it's very family oriented as well. There is everything for a family to enjoy with young kids. The kids' club is fun including the entertainment by the staff is enjoyable.
The resort staff are friendly and very helpful. They offer fantastic services like coordinating transportation to and from the airport and activity excursions. The pool concierge are on the ball too!
The resort offers too much fried food by the pool area. Foods like grilled chicken seem to be a foreign delicacy to them. Depending on your taste buds, their food selection of Japanese and Italian cuisine is questionable. The service can be slow as well.
There is no ocean swimming along most of the coast due to rip currents. There are a lot of beach vendors as well. In addition, the main pools are cold and left empty most of the time. Apparently, they don't heat this pool, so it just sits there looking like a work of art.
What's with all the events? The resort can seem a bit overcrowded, which can tie-up staff and leave you waiting for service for long periods. Don't be surprised if during one of these events the resort runs out of towels, drinks, and food. Forget reserving a chair by the pool, you will never get one. In fact, people reserve the chairs and don't use them for hours!
