The pub next door to Hunters Lodge often offers entertainment and serves traditional meals, while breakfasts can be ordered on a surcharge. Liverpool and Lancaster can be reached in 45 minutes, while Kendal and the Lake District National Park are just over an hour away.

You will find the staff to be very friendly and helpful — many guests have experienced great service and nothing appears to be too much trouble for the team.
Although guests thought Hunters Lodge was a bit shabby and in need of an overhaul inside and out, the rooms do however offer everything needed for a night’s rest and given the very reasonable price, most were happy to overlook the dated appearance.
This was not a problem for a vast majority of guests, but keep in mind that the motel is fairly remote for those not travelling by car and there are not very many options for public transport.
