Top Planamar is a three-star hotel with 155 rooms situated on the beautiful sandy beaches of Malgrat de Mar, Spain. It is two miles away from Marineland theme Park. Most of the guests found the rooms to be basic yet clean. The linen and towels were changed every day. Bathroom has running hot water 24 hours day. With the kind of facilities offered in the hotel the guests felt that it was worth the money paid and quite reasonable as compared to other hotels in the close vicinity.
Guests found all the staff members to be very courteous and helpful. Few guests found them to be extremely friendly and made sure that they had their dinner on arrival and waited to hand over the room keys. The reception staff gave great advice on best ways to visit the places around.
Many guests staying in the hotel found the food served here to be quite good. There was a good spread for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Guests cold choose anything from chicken, fish, pork, turkey, lamb, selection of salads, breads and pastas. There is a good selection of alcoholic beverages and mocktails in the bar too. Sangria was a favourite among few guests.
Some guests felt that not having a lock on the balcony door was quite risky as it was an easy inlet for thieves. Moreover, they could not lock it at night making it very noisy.
The walls of the rooms were very thin and many guests could hear their neighbours talking. They could even hear beds squeaking and toilets being flushed.
Many guests found the mattresses to be very hard making it very uncomfortable for the guests to have a good night's sleep. They felt that soft pillows and beds would have made a lot of difference to ensure a comfortable sleep.
