Many guests, particularly those visiting hospital patients, found this hotel's location within the hospital complex just off highway 18 to be convenient. It proved to be fairly tranquil too. Although some vacationers said there wasn't much in the immediate vicinity for tourists, there was easy access by road to Caribbean beaches, shopping malls and old San Juan for 16th century fortresses and Spanish colonial buildings. Another bonus was the proximity of public transport, with the nearest train station about ten minutes away on foot.

Although the rooms were reportedly basic, many visitors described them as modern, clean and comfortable enough for the budget-conscious traveler. Guests liked the flat-screen TVs. Room rates were usually affordable, prompting many reviewers to say they got decent value for money.

Many reviewers spoke highly of the customer service at this hotel, often describing encounters with pleasant, obliging and attentive staff who displayed a can-do attitude.

Maintenance issues such as dim lighting, non-functioning power outlets and slow-draining water were reported by guests in some rooms. There were also claims from some guests that certain rooms were prone to feeling cold at times. Cleanliness grumbles focused on issues such as accumulations of hair and dust, mold, sporadic visits from housekeeping and trash leftover from previous occupants.
