Hotel Hodelpa Caribe Colonial (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic)

Located in the center of the Old Town, Hodelpa Caribe Colonial is close to the main attractions and is well placed for sight seeing, shopping and dining including a choice of bars. Many local attractions are within walking distance, including the Cathedral of Santo Domingo, El conde pedestrian Mall and Parque Colon are less than five-minutes' walk away. Other sites such as the Columbus Lighthouse, the Malecon, Museum of Modern Art, National Theatre and the coastline can be reached within ten-minutes' by car.

The rooms are individually decorated in a modern style and have been described as well appointed, comfortable and clean. The air conditioning works well and guests enjoyed use of the minibar as well as the in-room coffee facilities. A buffet breakfast is included in the room rate when many guests found to be delicious and provide a good start to the day.

The staff have been described as hospitable, professional, courteous and friendly. Guests were made to feel at home as staff when out of their way to provide assistance and make them feel welcome and ensure that their needs were met.

A range of rooms sizes are offered, and some guests complained that their room as well as the bathroom and shower area were small and not good value for money.

A number of guests complained that part of the street where the hotel is situated is under construction. This made it difficult for some guests to access the hotel while others found the noise of construction disturbing.

While the hotel provides free parking, parking spaces are very limited and you will need to find street parking when the parking area is full.
