You will face and discover the stunning Kyoto history while you are staying our house. Megumian is a Japanese Machiya style house. It's two-story with a kitchen, a living/dining room, a bathroom, a shower room, 2 toilets, a wash room on the first floor and 2 bed rooms on the second floor. BEDROOMS Bedrooms "KAFKA" and "DANTE" are beautiful Japanese Tatami rooms placed on the second floor. They are modern in the natural colour interior. The architect design is showing the dark colour wooden beams purposely as it's for nostalgia in the modern Japanese space. Also beautiful lamps and sliding screens made by Washi, the Japanese white paper makes the room so cozy. You will have a peaceful stay. Bed room facilities: All-season air conditioner, TV, low table, fresh linens Up to 4 people can sleep in the bedroom KAFKA, with 2 single beds and 2 floor Japanese futons. Up to 5 people can sleep in the bedroom DANTE, with 3 single beds and 2 floor Japanese futons. If you are a group of 10, we will prepare 1 more futon in the living room on the first floor. 1st floor The house is providing the brand-new kitchen, a dining space and wash spaces on the first floor. They are all so new and clean as Megumian is opened in the spring 2017. KITCHEN All you need is prepared for you! ...such as a frying pan, big and small saucepans, a pasta pot, a colander, a mixing bowl, big and small plates, bowls, rice bowls, miso soup bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, chopsticks, kitchen knives, a cutting board, tongs, a ladle, a pasta ladle, a spatula, scissors, a can opener, a bottle opener, a grater, a microwave, a toaster, an electric kettle and basic seasonings. You will prepare and enjoy meals in the house! LIVING/DINING ROOM It’s a cozy rest space which comes with Engawa porch. Not only for a dining space also you can watch TV, make a travel plan and chat over the relaxing view of Japanese traditional garden while having a tea. The beautiful garden view will bring you inner peace and the sence of Japanese spirit. WASH SPACES A bathroom, a shower room, a washroom with 2 wash basins and 2 toilets are furnished in the separated room which is in Japanese way, a wise way to keep its cleanness! A washing machine is in the washroom with laundry detergent. The toilets are with comfort washlet. ~Basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap) , fresh towels and hair dryer is prepared for you.
