Built as a lifesaving station in 1873, HI Nantucket is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hostel is just steps away from Surfside Beach and only 3.5 miles along a bike path from the ferry docks and the historic town of Nantucket.The 2018 season begins May 18 and is available for booking through mid-October. Groups may be accommodated before and after the regular season dates. The Nantucket Hostel offers a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals, a large dining area, outdoor picnic tables and bicycle racks. With single-sex and co-ed dorms and spacious common areas, the hostel is a great place to bring your group. Breakfast, wifi access and parking are free. All bed linens and a bath towel are included in the overnight rate. The hostel also has one of the few sand volleyball courts on the island! From the hostel take the bike path into town and check out the Whaling Museum to learn about the island\'s fascinating past. You can explore the island by bicycle, by kayak, or on foot. Finish your day off with a seafood dinner or a sunset on a spectacular ocean beach.
