Located in Yanamonos’s Communal Reserve, Iquitos, Heliconia Amazon River Lodge sits on the banks of the Amazon River. The hotel’s roof is built using palm leaves, and the floors in the common areas are wooden. The environment-friendly en suite accommodations boast a rustic and traditional design. The rooms are also protected with screens to help ward off mosquitoes. Rooms overlooking the forest and gardens feature terraces with hammocks, where guests can enjoy a view of the forest. The gardens at Heliconia Amazon River Lodge make for an ideal place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Guests can also enjoy an invigorating dip in the on-site pool. The property serves three meals every day. Each meal is a mix of Peruvian and international influences, and is accompanied with coffee/tea, bottled water, and refreshments. Right on site, guests can enjoy birdwatching and sport fishing, and they can participate in an Ayahuasca Ceremony. All of these are guided excursions organised by the hotel.
