Guests said that they would recommend Heathcote with confidence. Not only were the owners friendly and hospitable with lots of information about the local area, the breakfast was heavenly, prepared just the way guests wanted it.
Free Wi-Fi that worked well was a hit with appreciative guests, as was the private, secure parking located in the back of the bed and breakfast. Guests felt like they got a lot of value for their money, with more in their wallets for seeing the sights.
Guests particularly enjoyed the pleasant riverside stroll that took them into town. While not as close to the town centre as some anticipated, many commented on how nice of a walk it was to reach shops and restaurants in 20 minutes or less.
If you're more of a fly by the seat of your pants traveller, the somewhat regimented schedule of Heathcote might not be for you. Guests weren't thrilled with the restricted check-in and check-out times, and also found that breakfast was only available for a short period.
Rooms received mixed reviews. While some accommodation was reportedly big and bright, other rooms were decidedly average. There seemed to be one or two rooms that caused guests to second guess their decision to stay here, which included things like an uncomfortable mattress and poor heating.
Free Wi-Fi was only available on a limited basis, much to the surprise of some guests. A few were faced with a pricey extra charge for going over their Internet quota by doing things like downloading and streaming movies.
