The pool and surrounding area are super clean and inviting; great for kids and a good indication as to the standards that apply throughout the rest of the hotel.

From the front desk staff members who greet you on arrival, to those serving breakfast; they are all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Great staff. Just off 1-81, there's no traffic noise and when there's a snow storm, just watch the staff getting stuck in to ensure that the approach is clear for arriving guests.

Furniture, bathroom, carpets, tiles, etc; are all in pristine condition. Cleaning and maintenance procedures are obviously regular and thorough. Boy, doesn't it show!

Tariffs vary considerably, depending upon special events in the area and the demand for accommodation. Rates can be virtually double those advertised!

You'll get a dismissive shrug from the front desk if you report the alarming degree of damp mold in the room. *They've heard it all before! Carpets and furnishings smell musty, rooms can be dark and uninviting with no view whatsoever … and everything points to the very dated nature of the room + the need for an urgent update.

The room ‘block' is a good hike from the front-desk and breakfast area. The smallness of the room is emphasised by the huge and grossly out of date furniture. You can hear fellow guests … so there's no sound insulation …and guess what … non-smoking rooms stink of cigarettes.
