You're steps away from everything and the rates are excellent here. Less than fifteen minutes' walk reaches Killarney's city centre (some have made it in five) and the beginning of the Ring of Kerry. There's a parking area in the front and both breakfast and dinner are served on-site. The breakfast is fresh with a tasty hot full Irish fry-up as well as basic continental options.
Comfortable beds, decent decor and the tea/coffee making facilities are outstanding. Some rooms have numerous beds for groups or large families. Does what it says on the tin, basically, a decent budget locale and a very no frills situation.
Very friendly and welcoming staff are found throughout the premises, especially the front desk and breakfast area. They're more than happy to give suggestions or directions on the area attractions.
Very poor soundproofing seems to be a problem here and the thin walls will surely keep you awake if you have noisy neighbours or your room is over the reception area. Bring your earplugs.
The shower water pressure fluctuates noticeably in some rooms, while in others you may not be able to get enough for a decent shower at all. Some of the shower equipment gets stuck and has trouble shutting off as well.
Some rooms are quite small and there's no shampoo or conditioner left out for guests to use. The electrical outlets may not always work, even after you've notified and received a maintenance visit from the staff. Remote controls for televisions and hair dryers may also be inoperable or missing.
