The rates at the hotel seem to vary enormously. Guests feel that they are hiked up in holiday periods above and beyond what the hotel is worth. The rooms are relatively basic and not very large and, what's more, they don't come equipped with microwaves and fridges.

There are numerous complains about noise emanating from the street outside and from other guests. The sound of traffic can be too much in itself, however, the poor sound insulation can make the situation unbearable. Guests can hear people in other rooms, as if they were in the same room, as well as other people taking showers or moving around above. Adjoining rooms seem to intensify the problem as sound passes through them far too easily.

The remodeling of the rooms seems to have introduced a new sliding-door system for the bathroom. Guests find this a bit irritating and difficult to manipulate with no handles or locks. Bizarrely the system not only appears to serve the bathroom door, but also the closet!
