Hotel Hôtel Mercure Paris Champs-Élysées (Paris, France)

Guests rave about the hotel's location on a quiet side street within a five-minute walk of Champs-Elysee and about ten minutes on foot from Trocadero. You can also walk to the Eiffel Tower in about 20 minutes, or take the bus, metro, or train just about anywhere else you might like to go; all modes of public transport are easily accessible from the hotel.

Guests note that the breakfast is fresh and varied, and though it is served in the smallish lobby few report that the area is crowded or cramped. Many also find the reception staff warm and welcoming, happy to store luggage for early arrivals.

Guests generally rate the rooms as "very small" or "Paris size," with fairly traditional decor that some find quite charming (and others merely outdated). Many enjoy a quiet, restful night in a comfortable bed, and some rooms overlook the pretty courtyard, a much appreciated little space to relax with a drink after long day of walking.

The rooms at the back of the building are only accessible via the stairs. Guests with mobility concerns or very heavy suitcases may wish to avoid these.

Though many guests are comfortable enough in the bedroom area despite the small size, some draw the line at the bathrooms, which seem to offer irritatingly little storage space for toiletries and a very cramped shower cubicle.

A few guests have been let down by slow Wi-Fi or faulty air conditioning, and some found the front desk unable to resolve these (or similar) issues in a satisfactory manner.
