This part of Paris is residential, which makes for a quiet stay. Be sure to check out the Promenade plantée, the elevated tree-lined walkway, as well as the parks that are everywhere in this part of town. With the Ledru-Rollin metro station and Gare de Lyon just a few blocks away, you have the best of both worlds, with all of Paris at your fingertips in no time flat.

Your dog will love it too, because Paris is such a dog-friendly city and there are so many great walks to be had just outside your door. This is a non-smoking property which is great if you don’t imbibe and like your accommodations smelling fresh rather than like stale, second-hand smoke.

There is no restaurant at Mercure Paris Bastille Saint Antoine, which could be a bit of a drag. However, the Bar does serve snacks and you also have room service at your disposal. However, if those options don’t work for you, you can try the Ebauchoir, located nearby which serves French and Asian cuisine, or any of the authentic bistros and cafes you’ll find in the neighbourhood.

Even though this is a quiet part of Paris, there is still plenty of nightlife in the area and therefore, things can get noisy at night. To ensure a quiet stay, be sure to book a room at the rear of the property as the front of the hotel is subject to noise from the road despite the residential feel of the neighbourhood.

The guest rooms here are a bit small, although the large windows do help make the space seem larger. Still, if you are travelling with more than one person, have a lot of luggage in tow or need extra room to manoeuvre, you might want to upgrade to a larger room.
