The hotel is in a good location near the Gare de Lyon train station, which made it easier for guests to see other sights. It is also close to the Bastille area and to various interesting restaurants and bars. The Jardin des Plantes is also a close walking distance.
The staff members were found to be nice people for guests who stayed here. They were helpful with recommending places in the area and welcomed their guests in a kind manner. The housekeeping staff cleaned on a daily basis.
Guests felt the rooms and the hotel were of good value. They felt the cleaning and replenishing of towels, linens and the room was nice. The location is close to a major train station and the staff was friendly.
The rooms were found to be a bit old fashioned and in need of a new look. Guests felt that the type of hotel would merit better rooms to stay in. The furnishings and beds were classic but not in a nice way. Guests would prefer a modern look.
Guests did not like the old carpets that were found in the rooms. They felt the hotel needed to do something about the flooring as they did not feel comfortable walking barefooted about the carpets.
