Hotel Guayarmina Princess (Costa Adeje, Spain)

This was by far what most impressed guests about the hotel. The hotel is quite literally on the beach, and guests loved being able to simple walk off the property right onto the beachfront promenade.

Guests seemed genuinely surprised by the high standard of the food at the hotel's two restaurants. Since many were there on full or half board, and the restaurants were buffet style, they were perhaps expecting mediocrity. On the contrary they reported that the food was tasty, and even more important, was very varied.

Several guests were highly impressed by the entertainment program put in place. The entertainers themselves were described as skilled and very professional, always keeping the audience engaged. Another point mentioned was that the programs were excellent for both children and adults, something a few remarked was quite unusual.

While this is stated on the hotel's website, guests considered it poor form for a four star hotel to charge extra for these. It left a bad taste in quite a few guests' mouth and made them feel as if the hotel was desperately trying to extract money from them.

While this was by no means a common complaint, some guests who had booked full board felt like the staff were ignoring them in favour of trying to sell drinks to those who needed to pay.

This was perhaps a bit of a strange complaint, but a few guests reported that the baths in their rooms had been painted, presumably in order to cover up wear and tear. In any event, the paint used may not have been a suitable enamel quality, since some reported it looking obvious, and starting to peel.
