Rooms at Grimm's Hotel are quite a bit different from other hotels in the city in that they all feature beautifully decorated themes from Grimm fairy tales with trendy colour palettes to match. Rooms are quite spacious and are very clean throughout, including the en suite bathrooms.
Staff are very friendly and approachable which is true for all staff from those at the 24-hour front desk through to the house keeping personnel who tend to rooms on a daily basis. Front desk staff help tourists navigate Berlin, offering point to point map directions.
The overall design of Grimm's Hotel is impressive in its modern and very trendy appearance. The hotel is very clean and also very well-maintained, something that is evident wherever one looks, including the breakfast and lobby bar and all public spaces.
While rooms are beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, they are a bit on the minimal side when it comes to certain amenities like free tea and coffee making facilities.
Anyone travelling in by car may be interested to know that the hotel does provide private parking onsite but that this is not free and is charged for as a separate daily rate.
The hotel offers a free Wi-Fi service in rooms but the process to activate the service is quite tedious. This is not automatically available when you check in or try to log on in the rooms. This is because one has to request a Wi-Fi voucher from the hotel in order to activate the service, something that is not made clear either.
