An excellent location.

Situated opposite the racecourse the hotel is in an excellent location. The town centre is also within easy walking distance located just 15 minutes away or just a short taxi journey away which would cost about £5.

A stay in the deluxe room has been likened to a spa break due to the jacuzzi bath. The bath is even big enough for two people.

Very friendly and welcoming staff.

The staff give you a warm reception and make you feel very welcome. They are very accommodating and very friendly. Compliments must also go to the chef for the very good food on offer.

The hotel’s bar is open to non- residents and can get busy, especially on race days. The bar is open until late and it can be quite lively.

Previous reviews have said that some rooms were looking tatty and worn, but the hotel has since had an extensive refurbishment.

The hotel is near a busy road and a roundabout and some guests have commented on the noise from traffic. You could ask for a room away from the road and some guests have been provided with earplugs.
