The 4-star Grand Place lives up to its name, found in the centre of Brussels, within five minutes’ walk of St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral, galleries, museums, theatres, and the Grand Place square. Manneken Pis, Les Galeries Saint Hubert and Brussels Central Station are under five minutes’ walk, and the European Parliament is 1.8 kilometres away. All rooms have wooden flooring, a private bathroom with tub and/or shower, hairdryer, TV with movie channels, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, desk, room service and fridge. The hotel offers five meeting rooms catering for up to 70 people, and guests can sweat it out in the gym or one of two Finnish saunas. Paid parking is available a few minutes’ walk away. On-site restaurant Eken Brasserie serves breakfast buffets, lunches and dinners, as well as offering typical Belgian beer. Grand Place is 15.2 kilometres from Brussels Airport.

Scandic Grand Place proved to be in an excellent location for those wanting to visit the Grand Place and other tourist attractions of central Brussels, and having dining, shopping and the Brussels Central Station nearby also proved popular.
Guests found the rooms to be clean, quiet despite the centrality, equipped with fast Wi-Fi, and affordable for Brussels, especially with the very good sauna and gym facilities thrown in.
The staff here was considered to be friendly and attentive, but nevertheless efficient, making for painless checking in and checking out.
Scandic Grand Palace’s breakfast buffet disappointed a few guests due to some items running out and cooked items sometimes being warm, not hot, although many others thought the offering to be of good quality and perfectly adequate to start the day.
A small number of guests found certain rooms to be dark, and too small for their liking, but still functional, while a few others mentioned dirty carpets and a general drabness.
The air conditioning was found to be an issue for a few guests, with hot rooms due to malfunctions during summer, while some other small maintenance issues were also noted.
