Previous guests have found that the apartment's location on the outskirts of the Canal Belt is convenient. Bicycle rentals and tram services are available nearby to help you explore but you will also find a good choice of coffee shops, dining spots and attractions within walking distance.

Although there are some exceptions, guests tend to describe the units at the Golden Mansion Apartment Amsterdam as modern and clean. Some found the brown decor a little too dark but the overall standards on offer seem to make up for that minor shortcoming.

While these apartments are used for self-catering stays, guests have appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. Guests mention that the staff is happy to store luggage for early arrivals and is equally happy to help out with local recommendations, directions and practicalities such as printing tickets.

The standard of some of these apartments seems to be better than others and more than one guest suggests that the apartment they were allocated did not match up to their expectations. Be sure to take a good look at the apartment before payment.

While it probably won't come as too much of a surprise to hear that some guests were able to smell marijuana in Amsterdam, these apartments are meant to be non-smoking. Unfortunately, a number of guests found the smell excessive.

Previous guests occasionally mention that they found their bed uncomfortable. Also, it seems that two singles pushed together are often passed off as a double. Guests also mention that the sofa beds were of a poor standard and, in some cases, could not be folded back up.
