Hotel Golden City (Manila, Philippines)

Guests appreciated that the hotel is very close to a good number of public transport options. The LRT Carriedo train station is just at the end of the street. Moreover, it is also a stone throw from the highway where numerous affordable “jeepney” and cabs are found.

The hotel is one of the most affordable accommodations in the Manila. Because of its good location and impeccable service, previous guests stated that the price they paid was totally worth it. Most of them commented that they would stay at the hotel again if they're in city within a tight budget.

Since the hotel is also just within a walking distance from many interesting sites, guests rated its overall location highly. The popular Santa Cruz Church and San Agustin Church are less than a mile away. Moreover, the Rizal Park, Baywalk, and Manila's Chinatown can be reached within five minutes.

Many guests were infuriated about the small size of the bathroom, and that the shower was almost just above the toilet bowl. They also complained that there were still strands of hair in the facility, and that the floor was filled with dirt and mould.

Beds were too hard according to the guests, stating that they were as uncomfortable as sleeping to the floor. They were also irritated about the mattresses having thick plastic covers as the noise whenever they move disturbed their sleep.

The on-site restaurant garnered a lot of negative response from previous guests. They expressed that the foods they served were the cheapest and worst kind, greasy, and old. They further advised the future guests that they were better off eating somewhere else.
