The wider Algeciras area around Globales Reina Cristina is industrial, and unfortunately some unpleasant smells are said to drift into the hotel from the port area and from a nearby oil refinery. Guests have obviously been very disappointed when this has happened.

Good customer service is expected in any hotel, but judging by the reviews it seems like the staff at Globales Reina Cristina might have some work to do in this respect. A number of guests suggest that the staff are not the friendliest, and they are not always the quickest to respond to requests.

Mosquitos can be a problem in this very southern part of Spain, and it is no different at Globales Reina Cristina. Some guests have said they were bitten during their stay because they unwittingly kept their room windows open during the night.
