Hotel Glenmore Plaza (Avalon, USA)

The hotel is located right in the center of Avalon. The beach is right there and it's not too far from the dock. Great bars, restaurants, shopping is nearby as well. It's the typical small town feel with all the perks.

You have probably stayed at a hotel where the staff is nice, courteous, and attentive. But a staff that makes you feel like a friend is exceptional! The personnel really engage you in conversation as if you were a long lost friend not just a visitor, and they are sincere. Laid back and polite, the staff will greet you with a smile when you check-in and will offer the same courtesy on the way out. They are on the case quickly with any issues as well. Impressive indeed!

To make things more interesting, the hotel offers themed rooms. Some have themes with famous names like the Clark Gable suite, which offers a bed in a dome like enclave and a fantastic view of Avalon. They also have other themes like the Amelia Earhart suite.

If you have a problem walking up stairs staying at this hotel could become an issue. The facility has four floors, so if stairs are a problem for you, try booking your accommodation on the first floor. The hotel is very accommodating and if you have already booked they will change your reservation for you without delay if they have another room.

Though the breakfast is free, it's nothing exceptional. The usual bagels, fruit, beverages, and all that type of stuff. For the price you pay, it would be nice to see some smoked salmon, various cheeses, and exotic coffees.

You can excuse some things as the hotel is a bit dated in a decent way; however, no hot water is a deal-breaker. You have to wait a long time for hot water to come, if it ever arrives!
