Guestrooms feature TVs, while hairdryers can be found in the private, en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms also have balconies.
Wi-Fi is complimentary in public areas of this smoke-free hotel, which has its own garden. Private self parking is free and holiday parking can be arranged for a surcharge. Other amenities include express check-in/check-out as well as luggage and bicycle storage.
A complimentary continental breakfast is served every morning in the dining room. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also free.
Glenmore House is a five minute drive from Swords town centre and a 20-minute car journey to the middle of Dublin. Local attractions include Morton Stadium and Swords Castle, both of which are within three miles of the hotel. Malahide and Skerries are also nearby. The National Show Centre can be reached with a 15 minute walk.
Being close to the airport, Glenmore House is ideal if you need somewhere to stay the night before your flight. There is a shuttle bus to and from the airport which departs every 30 minutes. Also, the public buses are on the hotel's doorstep.
You'll sleep well.
Guestrooms at this property are nicely quiet, especially considering their proximity to the airport. The rooms are very clean and the mattresses are comfortable, so you can happily fall into bed after a busy day or a long flight.
Fill yourself in the morning.
You can help yourself to the complimentary continental breakfast every morning. It's not especially flashy, but it has all you'll need to satisfy your hunger and it is tasty. You can also serve yourself tea or coffee in the lounge area at any time too.
The Wi-Fi is limited.
You'll likely only be able to get online in the lobby and breakfast area, rather than doing so from the comfort of your own room.
Not the greatest wash.
Some of the showers at Glenmore House leave a lot to be desired. The water pressure isn't always the best and regulating the temperature can be tricky as well.
A revamp is needed.
There is a slightly dated feel to the hotel, particularly in the guestrooms. They aren't rundown as such, but do feel a little tired and in need of a spruce up.
