Glen Avon Lodge lies within the tranquil valley of the Constantia Winelands, tucked away on the foothills of the majestic Constantiaberg Mountains. The lodge is within easy access to the M3 highway linking it to Table Mountain and Cape Town city centre, the Waterfront and the pristine beaches around the coastal road towards Cape point. The manor house, Cape Dutch in architecture and built by the early slaves to the Cape, proudly boasts its Arabic connections with its shell insignia molded high up on the gable tops. The manor has been extensively altered over the years, due to its prominent position and our ever changing history. Nowadays, the estate is a peaceful haven set amidst rolling lawns and exquisite rose gardens, where birdlife is prolific, lending itself to the estate’s unique character of comfort and romance. On arrival, the luggage is discreetly stowed, while guests are welcomed in our office area and the formalities are speedily dealt with. This is where the professional traveller and holidaymaker alike can spend time catching up on the news of the day with our Internet facilities. Elegant, private and luxuriously appointed bedrooms are all garden facing.
