There are no noisy pubs or clubs in the vicinity of the guest house as it is surrounded by lush woodland so if you are looking for a relaxing country getaway then you certainly won’t be disappointed. Many thoroughly enjoyed the air of peace and tranquillity as well as the picture-postcard views of Tommies Mountain and the surrounding countryside.
Keen hikers and walkers were pleased to find numerous nature trails in close proximity to the guest house as well as a stream which runs on the extensive private grounds. Many enjoyed waking up to the sights and sounds of the local wildlife and appreciated being just a short distance away from the popular Killarney National Park.
Guests were impressed with the wide range of choice for breakfast which included both hot and cold items. Many enjoyed the home-made jams and breads whilst the freshly prepared dishes were said to be very tasty and made using quality local produce.
Guests who wanted to make themselves a hot drink in their rooms were disappointed to find that there were no tea and coffee making facilities available in their en-suites which meant that they had to go down to the conservatory and help themselves to a drink.
Those staying in rooms located on the higher floors said that they experienced difficulties when trying to connect to the Internet as the Wi-Fi signal in their rooms was rather weak and intermittent.
The rooms were described as being in need of refurbishment as guests noticed marks on the walls and also said that the furniture and the upholstery were starting to show their age and could do with being updated.
