positive:

Cosy rooms.

The rooms at Gabber Farm are cosy and homey, rather like “staying at grandma’s”. The rooms are clean and well looked after; offering guests great value for money. The breakfast served on the farm each day is very well spoken of as being tasty and hearty.

positive:

Welcoming hosts.

The hosts at the family owned establishment are warm and welcoming and very hospitable according to most reviews. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, particularly for Margaret who seems to always be busy cooking and baking according to reviews.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Farmyard sounds and smells.

Though the authentic farmhouse experience could be a big plus for a lot of people, the sounds and particularly the smells could be off-putting for some. Some guests did not enjoy being woken up by the cows in the morning.

negative:

Too homey.

Again while the cosy and homey atmosphere is a plus for many reviews, some guests found the décor to be a little dated and the rooms to be a too cluttered with knick knacks. One or two reviewers found the bed to be uncomfortable.

negative:

Isolated.

Though it is a good base to explore the stunning coast and countryside, the farm is rather isolated and far from everything.
