Conveniently situated close to the cobbled streets of Ciutadella’s Old Town, the Hotel Géminis Hotel is a modern property ideal for a holiday in the sun. The 30 rooms are basic, but comfortably furnished. They have private bathrooms, air conditioning, alarm clocks and telephones. The Hotel Géminis Hotel has a lovely pool terrace, with sun beds where you can work on that perfect tan. There is a small restaurant were breakfast is served. Staff can also prepare a packed lunch on request. For other meals, the Old Town has great dining and drinking options. Hotel staff will be happy to offer personal recommendations on the top spots. The exquisite Minorca Cathedral is just 400 yards walk from the hotel, while the delightful cove of Cala Blanca, with its small sandy beach, is just 2.7 miles to the south. The ferry terminal is just 1.4 miles away.
An overwhelming majority of guest comment that the owner is enormously kind and helpful in every reasonable way possible. He definitely goes above and beyond the call of duty. The staff are also complimented for their kindness and professionalism, and English speaking guests say they had no trouble at all communicating.
While the hotel is in a new building, it is situated very close to Ciutidella's Old Town. Guests love the convenience of just being able to stroll through the charming alleys to the historical sights and the restaurants and bars.
Though “continental” breakfasts often aren't very highly rated, the breakfast at Géminis is definitely an exception. Guests rave about it, both in terms of quantity and quality, and say it certainly hits the spot.
While the hotel makes no claims of being luxurious, a couple of guests did mention that they found the décor and facilities just a little too basic for their liking. They would have like to see rooms a bit more up-to-date, and perhaps a couple more amenities.
This was not often mentioned, but some guests did talk of hearing snoring in the next room, doors slamming in the night and so on. It doesn't seem the rooms are soundproofed, so guests should consider bringing along earplugs.
While the hotel does provide Wi-Fi, it is only really available at reception. A couple of guests were disappointed that they could not stay connected in their rooms, and considering the importance of connectivity nowadays thought that the hotel should provide this.
