Hotel Fran Cove Motel (Lake George, USA)

Guests love they homey feeling of this locally owned motel. It's run by a husband and wife and you'll see them around the property working and trying to make guests feel at home.

Accommodations here are basic but clean and guests feel the motel is a great value for the Lake George area. Guests comment frequently about the lovely pool area and they appreciate the free coffee, tea and newspapers in the lobby each morning. Guests like that they can enjoy the Lake George area while still watching their budget.

The motel is just minutes from Lake George Village and all it has to offer, but without the traffic and crowds. It's also steps from a trolley service that runs into town. Guests say it's close enough to enjoy everything about the area but it's quiet enough to get some rest and enjoy the scenery.

The Wi-Fi here is free but some guests complain that it's very unreliable and can be extremely slow at times.

The rooms here are non-smoking but guests are allowed to smoke in a designated outdoor area. Unfortunately, it's located on a shared terrace and guests in nearby rooms say the noise and smell can be a problem.

Don't expect a designer room here. Bedspreads and curtains are clean, but they're from another era and feature a lot of floral and plaid fabric. Rooms are sparsely decorated and some have knotty pine paneling.
