Hotel Flamboyan (Playa Bavaro, Dominican Republic)

Flamboyan is ideally located right between two major local attractions. The White Sands Golf Course & Casino, one mile from the hotel, on one side, and the Bavaro Beaches, less than two miles away, on the other side. Guests say it is possible to walk to both, but public transportation is available nearby as well. Either way, you will not need to use a car if you're staying in the area. Everything from shopping, to dining, and even artisan markets are within walking distance.

The rooms at Flamboyan are often described as simple, but having all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Guests say that the rooms are clean and spacious, and the air conditioners are strong. If you're picky about your accommodations, there are many newly refurbished rooms available with recent cosmetic updates and new flat screen TVs. You can ask about it at reception.

Guests found the staff at Flamboyan as very friendly and helpful. Should you have any concerns or requests, they will try to be as accommodating as possible. In addition, guests added that the check-in process is quick and easy.

The breakfast is served a la carte and many guests said it was too simple and lacked a good variety. Though considered a traditional Dominican breakfast, many guests thought it was more of a light morning pick-me-up and not very filling.

A few guests said they had problems with lack of hot water in their rooms. However, this problem is common on the island.

Though most guests did not have any trouble with the Wi-Fi, some said the signal was weak in their rooms and they had trouble connecting.
