This is a great spot from which to see Naples. The metro stop is nearby and it's an easy walk to many of the popular tourist attractions. If you get a balcony, the odds are that it will have a full-on view of Vesuvius. What more can anyone ask! Getting here is quite easy. The cheap bus from the airport goes to the city port + then it's a 10-minute walk to the hotel.
Rooms, in this hotel on the 7th floor, are soundproofed and the blinds and glazing also help to shut out any city noise. The Wi-Fi is quick and good and breakfast is impressive and served in your room when you want it. Very civilised and a welcome alternative to the usual regimental features of hotel living.
Everyone is so helpful and friendly. They're eager to help with any enquiry and suggest places to go and best value restaurants to dine in. *There are plenty of those around; also supermarkets. Staying here is a welcome respite from the ‘impersonal' atmosphere of major chain hotels. Long may it continue!
It's always a bit disconcerting to find that the front desk closes at night. You feel a bit vulnerable + there's a nagging worry as to what happens in case of emergency.
It's a bit off-putting to walk past poor, homeless folk huddled in neighbouring doorways at night.
The shower in the room is very small. They don't change the towels every day - it is often needed - and towels, themselves, are, really, quite tiny.
