Visitors to the University at Albany loved the location of this property as it put them within easy walking distance of the campus. Moreover, motorists liked the way they were a short drive from downtown Albany and several dining options. There were also conveniences nearby like filling stations and bus stops. The free parking was another plus. Drivers said it was easy to get to area attractions, government buildings, museums, arts venues, shopping centres and the airport.

According to many reviewers, the rooms weren't the height of luxury but were spacious and more than suitably clean and comfy for their requirements. Budget-minded visitors welcomed the low-cost room rates and often added that they got fair value for money. Extended stay guests liked the way each room boasted a well-equipped kitchenette where they could prepare light meals. Several travellers mentioned that they found the hotel fairly quiet considering the proximity of the freeway.
