Hotel Eurostars Acteón (Valencia, Spain)

By all accounts, the room sizes here are spacious. Guests - especially those travelling with young families - were grateful to find that their accommodation was so generously sized.

This hotel offers guests a morning selection of breads, juices and cereals - not to mention that famous local treat, Serrano ham. For a continental spread, many were especially pleased with both the variety and the quality of the items on offer.

This hotel was a great location for those who wanted to hit the beach. It offers great access to both Las Arenas and Las Mavarossa as well as the port. It was also convenient for those hoping to do a spot of shopping at the city's Mercat Central.

Given the sleek-looking units featured on the hotel's website, a number of guests were disappointed to find that their rooms were rather tired and dated. Worn carpets and the smell of stale smoke were also a problem here.

A high number of guests reported that the air conditioning in their rooms was no match for the intense Spanish summers. Because of this, many reported rather uncomfortable stays. Paradoxically, guests also noted that hot water for showers was in short supply.

While it was good for the nearby beaches and a handful of nearby attractions, those hoping to be within walking distance of Valencia's old medieval city found that this location was just a bit too far for their liking.
