While there were some problems with on-site dining, many guests were happy to report that there were a good number of excellent restaurants in the surrounding streets. They were happy that they didn't need to forego great Italian cuisine just because they were at an “airport layover” hotel.
Whatever other faults they found, almost all guests were very happy with the service they received from the staff. They were said to be especially helpful when providing practical information about how to get to and from the airport.
Though guests found that there were great restaurants in the area, there was a great deal of confusion surrounding the presence of a restaurant in-house. Guests claimed that the hotel's marketing materials state that there is, but when they arrived they found that only breakfast was offered, and at times even this wasn't served.
This was another point guests seemed confused about. Several mentioned that it seems the hotel is entirely without staff overnight, whatever it might say in the marketing materials. Of course guests trying to check-in late found this very inconvenient, but others also considered it a security issue.
A couple of guests didn't really like the look of the neighbourhood the hotel was in. It was described as a bit characterless and bland. They felt they could be anywhere and didn't get the sense they were actually very near Rome.
