Set in the Latin Quarter, Hotel Eugenie is just nine minutes on foot from Notre-Dame Cathedral and roughly a 15-minute walk from the Louvre. This property sits on the restaurant and local shop-lined Rue Saint André des Arts.
Each of the 28 rooms offers en-suite facilities, as well as amenities such as satellite TV and a minibar. Soundproofing, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi also come as standard features.
The front desk at Hotel Eugenie provides 24-hour multilingual support to guests. Additionally, guests can take advantage of on-site concierge services to make tour and ticket reservations.
A complimentary continental breakfast can be enjoyed in the hotel’s dining room or in the privacy of individual guest rooms. For other meals, both Shu and Chez Le Libanais are within two minutes’ walk of the hotel.
Hotel Eugenie places guests two miles from the Champs-Élysées and three miles from the Eiffel Tower. Furthermore, Disneyland Paris is a little under an hour from the property by car.
Of course it had to be the location that guests most enjoyed about their stay at Eugenie. The hotel was said to be in the perfect Left Bank position, with a number of great cafes nearby. Also nearby was Notre Dame, which was said to be just a couple of minutes walk away.
positive:
Remarkably quiet
While clearly in a terrific central position, guests mention that the hotel is in a pedestrianised zone. Of course this meant no noise from cars zooming by, but it was also mentioned that there really wasn't any noise from revellers, and others, in the lanes below either. The hotel seemed to be in a sweet spot when it came to peace and tranquillity.
positive:
Excellent value for money
While perhaps not as fancy as some if the other hotels nearby, guests felt that the room-rates were very reasonable indeed. All things considered, especially the incredible central location, they felt they received very good value for money.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very small rooms
To be honest, this came across more as an observation than a complaint. Guests generally realised they were in reasonable priced accommodation in one of Paris' most popular areas and could hardly expect massive rooms.
negative:
Décor a little tired
Several guests pointed out that, while not really affecting their function, the room decor did look a bit tired. In their opinion the hotel would soon have to start renovating to remain relevant in a competitive market.
negative:
Coffee and croissant
While guests certainly didn't have anything against either coffee or croissants, many felt that these did make for an adequate breakfast. They really felt the hotel's breakfast was just not good enough, and suggested forgoing it and taking breakfast at a nearby café instead.
