The Elizabeth Hotel is located near to the centre of the seaside town of Sidmouth overlooking the red sandstone cliffs of the World Heritage Coast. There are 28 bedrooms on offer all of which are ensuite and some of which have balconies. A Flat-screen TV, radio, telephone and refreshment tray is included in each room. All of the rooms feature seaside views as well. The Elizabeth Hotel provides free Wi-Fi to all guests and also has an on-site car-park for guests travelling by car. Local meat, fish and poultry are sourced for the seasonally changing menu in the on-site restaurant. Light snacks and refreshments are also served and can be taken in the on-site lounge or on the outside patio area. The Jurassic Coastline and the Southwest Coast Path both offer beautiful walks whereas Peak Hill and Salcombe Hill offer more adventurous hikes.
The bedrooms at the hotel are very nice and clean and well-appointed. The beds are very comfortable and nice to relax on and provide a good nights rest. The best thing about the rooms though are the beautiful sea views which can be seen from the rooms. Ha
The staff are very friendly and helpful and are also efficient and good at their jobs. The staff in the restaurant are also very friendly and try to provide good service as well.
The food overall is very good and the cooked breakfasts served in the morning are served hot and fresh. Overall the food available is very tasty and well-cooked.
The parking provided on-site is quite small and the parking fills up quickly especially when there are many guests. Although the hotel does allow guests to reserve parking bays there are still not always enough. Guests may have to park somewhere else near
The Wi-Fi is provided to all guests free of charge which is great. However the signal is not very good and makes using the Internet troublesome. The signal for the Satellite TV in the rooms is also not very strong and stable which can affect watching TV.
While not at all negative in itself guests should be aware that the Elizabeth Hotel attracts an older demographic, many of whom are repeat customers. This means that the hotel is rather quite and peaceful and is maybe not the best location for guests seek
