Positive Reviews
positive:
Everything needed for a complete, rewarding stay
Everything is readily at hand, so you don't have to necessarily leave the resort for leisure, sundries, or even exploration. The extensive variety of eateries, shopping and sports and relaxation options covers almost every preference, and there is also a meeting space for business travelers.
positive:
Wonderful staff make the stay even better
The staff welcomes all ages, and attends to every request as best and as quickly as possible. There's always someone available to make sure you have everything you need, and to help direct or assist you with getting something or somewhere.
positive:
Extremely clean and comfortable facilities
Facilities at El Conquistador Resort are well maintained, and inviting for use. It's a comfortable and cozy atmosphere overall, that encourages de-stressing and enjoying all of the benefits of being away from home and ordinary daily routines.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Overpriced and remote from other options
The inclusion of almost everything needed for a vacation also means that other options are not so close by. If you don't leave the property to shop, dine, or engage in an activity elsewhere, you'll pay considerably higher prices on even something as simple as bottled water.
negative:
Rooms are outdated and not worth the price
For the pricing, rooms don't meet expectations or Waldorf reputation. Decor, fixtures, and furnishings are worn down, the conditions are shabby, and the impression is more of a run of the mill hotel than a luxury resort.
negative:
Inattentive staff and inconsistent housekeeping
Guests have mixed experiences with staff, with there being lackluster or absentee attention at times. Room upkeep is also inconsistent, with linens, towels, and general maintenance not always thoroughly refreshed between usage.
